SJNY Students interested in Ethics and Social Justice may wish to participate in PHI 160 “Invitation to Ethics,” regularly offered through the Philosophy Department in the Fall and Spring Semesters. This course also satisfies the “Quest for Meaning” requirement.
Course Description: “What are the sources of morality? What makes an action right or wrong? What constitutes “the good life?” This course will explore these questions and examine related issues such as absolutism vs. relativism, objectivism vs. subjectivism, rules vs. outcomes. General theories will be applied to specific ethical dilemmas through discussion.”
